Admission Process & Guidelines

Magdalene Matriculation Higher Secondary School welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and upholds a transparent, inclusive, and merit-based admission system. We are committed to offering a smooth and supportive admission experience for both students and parents.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Admissions are open for all students irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or background.
  • Age eligibility will be strictly followed as per Tamil Nadu State Education Department norms.
  • For Kindergarten: Minimum age as prescribed (e.g., LKG – 3 years and 6 months as of June).
  • For other classes: Based on age and successful completion of the previous academic grade.

Admission Procedure

  • Parents may collect the application form from the school office or download it from the official school website (if available).
  • Fill out the application with accurate student and family details.

The following documents must be submitted along with the application:

  • Birth Certificate (original + photocopy)
  • Transfer Certificate (from the previous school)
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • Conduct Certificate (from the previous institution)
  • Latest Progress Report / Report Card
  • Passport-size photographs of the student (as required)
  • For Kindergarten and Primary classes: Informal interaction with the child and parents.
  • For classes I and above: A simple entrance test may be conducted to assess the student’s academic readiness.
  • Interaction with the Principal is a part of the final admission process.
  • Selected candidates will receive an admission confirmation slip.
  • Admission is confirmed only after verification of documents and fee payment.
  • Fees must be paid in full by the date prescribed by the school.
  • Monthly tuition fees are to be paid in advance before the 10th of each month.
  • Conveyance fees (for transport users) are collected for 11 months annually.
  • A late fee of ₹5 will be applicable after the due date.
  • Incomplete applications or false information will lead to cancellation of admission.
  • Management reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning reasons.
  • Readmission for students previously enrolled is subject to conduct and availability of seats.
